Priority: normal
Thirty years after I sold my TR4 Cal Club race car, I've been reeled
in once again by the British Sports Car Addiction - in large part
because after subscribing to this group for a couple of months, I
realized that you're all having WAY too much fun for me to pass up.

Cutting to the chase, I am now the proud owner of a '73 TR6, a parts
car and the Moss/TRF/&etc catalogs, and am deep in the throes of
bodywork restoration and learning new curses to hurl in the dead of
night at the DPO.

What I'm looking for now is some advice on what "performance
enhancement" bits are recommended for street use and/or vintage
racing, and where to find them. Specifically:

-- Performance Cams -- I'm aware of Piper in the UK and Iskenderian
in the US, but need addresses for both. Are there others as well?
I'd be most appreciative of any recommendations and evaluations,
positive or negative.

-- Weber Carburetors -- I've seen references to several different
sizes of Webers being used and I'm wondering which size (if any!) are
generally approved for vintage racing.

-- Wheels -- What width of wheel is typically used for vintage racing
a TR6? Are the generally available "alloy" wheels aluminum or magnesium?

Finally, I'd be most thankful for any recommendations of shops that
are qualified to do TR6 engine rebuilding for vintage racing.
Hopefully something near Madison WI where I am, but that may be too
much to hope for.

Thanks in advance,

Jim Hill
