Thanks for help in diagnosing the vibration. I lifted the lid yesterday and the bearing on the viscous coupling seems to have gone also. Probably damaged when the fan got 'stuck into' the radiator. It appears that this causes the vibration when the car is stationary. I'm off to the breakers to get a 'new' coupling and fan blade! thanks again Andy |
