The idea of a 20-30 year old 'new' car is really cool but I've heard that engines and such that sit so long pretty much immediately need a rebuild. Are all the bearings, seals, rings, etc.. in good enough condition to justify paying 30k for that TR6? I'm sure that the brakes would need help, and what about rot in the various cardboard bits? I know my car needed all sorts of help after sitting only a year. Think how frozen a twenty year old clutch is going to be if you've ever had your's freeze up over one winter. -Thomas |
