I purchased and installed a pair of these 1 1/2 yrs ago in my 75 TR6 and
have been satisfied with the results. Installation was straight forward,
mearly a sawp for the old set. My only complaint is that the stalk next
to the trans tunnel is a little shorter than the originals and has to be
held out of the way if you tilt the seat forward. It's awkward and takes
two hands to keep the stalk from getting pushed down under the seat
assembly when you tilt the seat back to normal.
To use these on the earlier TRs w/o a retractor system, I believe that
you'd need to drill an additional hole on the side of the wheelwell for
the retractor assembly. My 70 TR6 only has mounting points for a
non-retractable 3 point system.
