I just replaced a piston on my TR4 this spring, after reboring and
replacing all of the pistons last year (I was getting blowby). The
two compression rings on the new piston (an AE 4 ring) were
Identical (at least as far I as could see). If there was a "special"
bevel it wasn't apparent to the naked eye. One of the rings WAS
marked "TOP". The ring set I got last year, had no such marks.
