Ross - When I did Scarlet my '65 MKII I found I have a bad lobe on the
cam!! :-{ I ended up buying a large journal cam from John Kipping (I
understand he now owns first mortage on your house) It is ground to the
MKIII spec. the best of the stock cams IMHO. With this set up you have to
remove the cam bearings in your block and run the cam "in the block" like
the later Spits did. Remember if you put in a new cam replace the cam
followers. This has a side benieit that you don't have to find new cam
bearings which I understand are now made of unobtainium (translation -
can't be had). If you alrady have new cam bearings just hold on to them and
you may be able to retire early!! As to you message to me earlier about my
trip to VTR in Albany and what Andy Mace is really like, all I can say
