Good day all! I am the proud owner of a '79 Spit which has one nagging problem (that I know of). During freeway driving, at about 60mph and 3500rpm in 4th gear, it starts missing. Stepping on the accelerator won't get it above 60mph. I've checked the timing (it seems to idle much better somewhat advanced from what the specs call for). Also the problem doesn't seem to occur at 3500rpm in the lower gears. Any advice, help or a nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! Thank You & Good Motoring, Kirk |
