OK, OK, OK... of course the screws aren't required, and yes, I agree that the seal would be easy to ruin with too much heat. I came home after a long, bad day, read the post, and (maybe like I've done myself way too many times before) I only thought about getting those screws out nicely, forgetting where they were and what they were for. And I was the guy worried about somebody else recommending using a torch on transmissions... Sorry. I'll shut up and get back to work... -Karl |
