     Subject: '77 Spitfire 1500 Horn/Dimmer/Flasher/Signal Switch

I aquired a 77 triumph spitfire about 3 years ago. (This following the
sale of my Sunbeam Alpine).

I have been working and have mostlye restored the engine and body of the
vehicle, thus I have started work on the interior. Now, as much as the parts
have been costing me, I am finding I am replacing original parts with
originals (or second-hand where I can get away with it). However, I am having
a problem with the Horn/Dimmer/Flasher/Signal Switch.

This switch has not been working since I purchased the vehicle, and after
contacting all of my suppliers (including Moss) I have found that the part is
obscenely expensive. Therefore, I pulled the steering wheel, and proceeded to
remove the switch. After removal and dis-assembly, I found that not only are
there no broken pieces, but it appears that all of the pieces are there.
(Although a few were floating around in the switch housing).

Now, to my problem . . . . .

I am trying to locate a diagram that shows the proper placement of all the
components in the switch housing. There are numerous (4) springs and parts
that are obvious in there placement, however, a small bearing and short (1/8"
- 1/4") brass piece were floating, with no discernable home.

Any help would be appreciated.
