Hello all:
I took the last two days off from work and stayed home; no wife or kids,
just me and the dog and the Triumph. Glorious! Got a lot of work done and
drove the car around the block a few times in the sunshine (a rare thing
here in central New York). Things are in good shape generally, with these
exceptions:

1) The brake pedal is hard as a rock, but doesn't stop the car well. I
suspect the servo is shot. Any comments on the rebuild of this unit?
2) My 205/70-15 tires rub the swaybar. (Switched tire brands; the old tires
didn't rub as I recall.)

I learned a few things:
1) A new seat diaphragm makes all the difference in the world.
2) Replacing the damper seal is easy (keeps the ATF out of the carbs). Why
doesn't the rebuild kit instructions mention this?
3) GL-4 gear lube is available from VW dealers (Who knew?)

Only some trim and a windshield to install and we're ready for spring. Yahoo!

On the TRF thread: I agree that the bear thing is a bit corny, but it's his
business. As long as he sells parts for my car he will continue to get my
orders. (Try finding a fuel tank for a 1980 Audi...hah.)
