Well, being only the second owner of my '73 Spit, and having owned it since '75, I can unequivocately state that although the chassis is now mostly black, it was originally Magenta, the same color as the body. The only reason that it is now mostly black is due to oil/grease and my poor attempt at undercoating. When the car is restored, the undercoating will _not_ be reapplied. Doug Mitchell |
