To eject the master cylinder piston, here's something to try ( I did it on my slave cylinder, but the master waits 'till this winter...) where the fluid line goes in, use an air pump - most foot pumps come with a plastic sorta funnel shaped end piece that's _perfect_ for this- and pressurize the back until the cylinder pops out.
