Sounds like someone has already changed all the bits necessary to convert 
it to rear wheel drive spec.

The Bonds were all 1300s and I'm not sure if the gearbox splines are the 
same as the spit 1500. You may need to change the flywheel and clutch 
over. Apart from that it should be pretty much the same as a 1500 spit 
engine although the camshaft and compression ratio may be different.
