Phew! I wouldn't have dared, myself. How exactly does one pry sheet
metal while being careful not to warp it? Oh, well, if it worked...
Would it be possible to reach the latch from under the car, using
the universal fiddler (a coat hanger) or something? I don't have
a TR6 but it occurs to me that the first thing I'd try is putting
it on ramps, sliding underneath to see what I could effect from
there...
