I just saw the picture of the Posidrive screws on the B post.
I recently took apart an original paint series SV Alpine, and pretty soon a=
fter I get a nice positive drive screwdriver I will take another original p=
aint car apart to look for your paper gasket. I do not see that same style =
of washer on either car. I've certainly seen that washer on an original har=
dtop. not sure why the factory would use that or anybody else for that matt=
er cuz it makes a really wonderful place for water and salt and road debris=
to get trapped. I'm sure it's a matter of they did different things at dif=
ferent times if it was the first time your car was apart.=20

My Tiger's engine runs hot a low speeds and I want to increase the airflow.=
? I'd like to know if anyone has successfully addressed this issue with a D=
erale fan, or another type of fan, or an electric fan.
I'm in the process of installing a Derale 17015 fan, but I have had to depi=
tch the blades to clear the upper rad hose, which reduces the airflow.? In =
addition, I will have to create a custom spacer, so it is getting to the po=
int where I am not sure it is worth the bother.
I am now leaning towards using the original fan and an electric fan, but wa=
nt to survey the group first.
Thanks for your response.

seal under the cap?

Joe,
There IS a seal there.? I know because I have been noticing mine is=20
slipping out.
I forget the details, I installed it in 1979 after my paint job.? I=20
wouldn't have put anything
there if there wasn't something there originally.
I think I made a new one from gasket paper, but not sure.? I know I made=20
several seals,
back then you couldn't just get things from Sunbeam Specialties.
I am not sure what it really seals, maybe just to protect the paint.?=20
The tops fit so loosely
around there that the rain will get in through much larger gaps anyway.
