Contains conversions to modern tire size. 175/70 is close.
I did not go with white wall tires for my Tiger.
=20
I painted my wheels Semi black - I'm not sure if that is original but I =
like
it and I painted the outer Silver because I like it that way.
=20
It appears you may have the original color under that black paint.
=20
Foam white has been discussed for the wheel color but I do not know for =
sure
if that is correct.
Rootes code 8 Foam White - Berger code 404.1137 ICI 3255
The DuPont Historical Color Library for Rootes Motors Inc - Lists Foam =
White
(grey) and a Foam White
Foam White (grey) - IC 562
Foam White IC 96
That steel wheel you have has a 63 date code and there could be a Rootes
part number stamped into it.
The Trim ring you show in the pictures are for an early Mk I. If you =
have 4
of them use them.=20

Subject: Re: [Tigers] Tiger Spare Tire and Rim
My trunk is finally complete except for the spare tire, wheel and lug =
nuts
that would go with whatever wheel is used. I still have some questions =
and
here is what I have found so far.
=20
Dunlop 590 x 13" RS5 with a 1" white sidewall or
Goodyear "Made in England 600 x 13" Roadway Speed with a 1" white =
sidewall
=20
Wheel - standard steel 4-1/2" x 13" rim
Painted black - Is this gloss black or another black, semi, satin, flat?
Then re-sprayed a gray-white on the front - what does this mean? The =
entire
front of the wheel/rim or just a portion? Any rattle can paint can =
number
anyone could provide?
=20
I would like to find a current tire replacement 'size', 165x80x13 as an
example of what matches the 590x13" or 600x13" designation. What does =
590
or 600x13 translate to?
=20
Does anyone have a picture of what the wheel and tire should be from the
front with the 1" white sidewall and this 'gray-white on the front' is
suppose to look like that they would share?
=20
I have some LAT wheels with the markings on the inside of "SRC 1300, 5.5 =
X
1300, patent pending, ?celes cali?" As measured from the inside of =
the
lip, they are 5.5" wide.
=20
The steel wheel, chrome ring and cap that I have is 4.5" wide from the
inside of the lip but has no markings on it that I can find, inside or
outside. Should there be? Please see attached picture and tell me if =
this
is a correct Tiger MK 1A spare wheel or what this might have come off =
of? I
have had this wheel for so many years and no idea where I got it.
=20
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Joel Martin
