Hey that's how they invented penicillin and Ivory soap, right? I had the
problem with mine many years ago and ended up just searching through trash for
an old spring. Fortunately I seldom throw things away figuring there will
always be a need and there was for the old rusty spring. Nice job on
discovering this. I saved the site and part numbers.

Hi Curt,
I came across the spring just by accident. While I was installing the engine
in my Tiger I needed a spring but couldn't find one at the local auto stores.
At the same time, one of my sprinklers needed fixing so I took it apart and lo
and behold there was a nice stainless spring that fit the radiator hose.
