When in doubt read the Shop Manual.

They say use a "G" clamp; hopefully that is British speak for "C" clamp.

Subject: Sway Bar Installation
Thanks all that emailed me about their tricks for the front sway bar
installation. The general concensus was:
1. Use vice grips
2. Use "Channel-Locks"
3. Use C-clamps
4. Put tape on the grips, locks and or clamps to protect the paint. 5. Get
the car up off the ground with the tires on blocks or some kind of support
so the suspension is level (as it would be if the tires were on the ground).
6. Get the forward bolts started first but wait until all the bolts are in
before tightening them up. 7. Prepare to cuss alot----If you are installing
anything bigger then the stock sway bar---prepare to cuss more and louder.
