Just an update. I ran the engine to get oil in the filter, oil cooler and oil lines. Then I let it sit for a couple of days to make sure the block was empty of oil. Next, I drained the oil out of the oil pan, and then put in the 8 quarts to fill the pan. After it sat for an hour or so I pulled the dipstick and lo and behold, it showed correct. No need to remark the stick. I guess I was concerned over a non-issue. Thanks for the suggestions. -Bob B9471388 |
