I am starting to lay out a plan to restore my '66 mark1a. I am thinking the
plan will be for me to dissassemble everything, farm out all bodywork, farm
out all rebuilding of major components (engine, suspension, etc), and then
reassemble everything myself.
Two questions ... anyone have advice on this approach? Words of wisdom will
be regarded...
Also, on an engine rebuild, what should i know to ask for (hardened valve
seats, type of pistons, etc.), and what should i expect to pay?
