 While everyone has their own requirements to feel safe I would think that
a "show bar" would likely be acceptable security in most rollovers (assuming
normal driving speeds). More important than the bar itself is the attachment
method. One should always use lower plates and sufficient bolts. As to the
lowering of the seat, I don't think you can get a seat too much lower unless
is was fiberglass, dished with no cushion and sitting on the floor. I opted
to buy a used show bar for $35 because I surmised it was significantly
better than the windshield frame in a rollover. Granted it might leave me
with an inverted Mohawk, but at least I should be alive to explain it.
