CLEARING THE FLUID LOSS!
The "COMPLETE" booster kit should include a new "ring" seal for that
area. It has the same tendencies to shaft/bore wear as the original -
but with a not-so-smooth used rod.
The solution is to increase the sealing forces, without causing it to
wear faster. The technique is closely held by a very few professional,
and non talkative, specialists.
One I can recommend from personal experience is "Smitty" in
San Diego. (619) 233-7937
He doesn't have an answering machine, and sometimes he can't hear the
phone over the machinery
-- so let it ring around 8-10 times and try back frequently.
He is NOT on the List, or the Internet. But he sure knows Sunbeams.
