I agree with Steve, or DOT 5.
Being new to Tigers and very old to Land Rovers, we Rover people were
always told that the Gurling brake rubber parts were mostly rubber and
not some fancy plastic. It was always said in the workshop manuals that
we must use Castrol LMA so the rubber does not brake down. I used it
for years with no problem. I rebuilt my entire brake system, lines and
all and started to use DOT 5 (silicone) and that worked great, also
never a problem. The standard will absorb any moisture due to
condensation but the silicone will not. Either way fluid should be
changed every so often.
