The Rootes parts book lists the U-joints as Dana part # - 5.153X.
I don't know if that helps, I have never tried that part number.
7000 rpm tach - try Shelby American or one of the Cobra Kit car
sites or older Jaguar sites; they use Smiths gauges and a 7000 Tach would be
normal for them.

Subject: U-Joints
Getting my winter projects lined up for my tiger. One is too replace the
u-joints in the driveshaft and get it balanced, I'm trying to get as much
vibration out of the car as possible. Can someone give me some modern part
numbers
for U-Joints that fit properly? I'v tries searching the tiger web sites
without luck.....maybe my fault..., and my CAT notes list # from the 70's
80' and
mid 90's. I called a couple of parts places and the # don't work for them. I
can order them from the two great suppliers in the states, but if I can by
them in Canada makes it easier for me. Another project is my 6000 tach, I
can
send it too Tom and have him fix it but would like a LAT 22 or a good
Alpine
Tach that can be modified . While my MK II has the org engine; with the
F4B,
1850 Holley, headers, a very strong cam some PO put in and what looks like
some
port work, the motor really likes to rev. A 7000 tach would be very handy.
Any ideas listers? Anyone with something for sale can contact me off list.
As
an aside I think I'll be in St pete for a couple of weeks over x-mass. I
want
to thank Nick for all his help and I'll prob have a bunch more questions if
I can run in to him......cheers.....phil
