It all depends on what you're after. I'm pretty sure that Rick and Curt both
sell Tiger specific replacement wiring harnesses. If you are doing a
near-stock (or even not-so-near to stock) restoration then getting one of
these is a good starting point. If you're adding a lot of electrical
accessories or if you want to improve the overall reliability and safety
then you should consider getting an 8 or 10 fuse panel with a couple or
three relay mounts, and put that up in the driver's kickpanel area. Having
relays for the headlights (hi and low beam) and the horns are great for
reducing the electrical load on the switch gear, and moving the fuse box out
of the weather can save you from eventual corrosion issues.

Doing a harness from scratch takes about three times as much wire as you
think, and the cost in quality connectors is not insignificant - this is why
starting from one of the harnesses that's commercially available is a good
idea. Try to heatshrink or otherwise weatherproof all modifications you make
to the harness, and put a little silicone grease on all your spade and
bullet connectors.

Good luck,
Theo
