Two things that come to mind are to check the header flanges for squareness and straightness before you start, and to do all test fitting with the gaskets in place. Buy an extra set of exhaust manifold gaskets if necessary so you don't have to worry too much about mangling one set. The exhaust manifold bolts and their location are not sufficient to fix leaks caused by poor alignment of the header flange ports... Fix it before installation or you have a good chance that the gaskets will eventually start to leak. Good luck, Theo |
