Despite the fact only 2 quarts came out, put the recommended 5 quarts
back in. Warm the engine up and then let in cool off on a flat surface.
Check the dipstock. Wherever the mark is, mark it as full. A simple
file mark will do. Make sure you insert in the same was each time.
As to the steering wheel.
(1) Remove the black plastic steering cover housing.
(2) Use your finger nails or similar soft item and pry off the center car.
Careful the back vinyl may be very brittle. The chrome ring comes off
with the center, so put your finger nail under that. Inside you'l'
find a nut
and washer holding the adjuster ring.
(3) Remove the nut and then wobble the adjuster off.
(4) Remove the horn ring. Three phillips screws. Remember to slide off
the turn signal connector.
(5) The metal adjuster that held the nut in (2) is a hat shaped piece
that screws unto the end of the steering adjuster. The adjuster
sticks has probably slide down the steering column. You'll
have to fish it back up. I long strong magnet can work There
should be a small plastic ring the clips around the shaft that
may have been lost in the past. Hold the shaft up and reconnect
the adjuster.
(6) reassemble.
This is not a hard project. If your turn signal are still on the right
and you want them on the left, undo their mounting ring and flip
them around. The turn signal mount has a small tong that stick down.
This cancels the signal after making a turn. Adjust the mount
so it works correctly.
Honk Honk means you screwed the horn ring screw down to much.
By moving themin or out, you can adjust how the horn works.
Tach/Spped errors and best left to the listers.
Dave
to undo the turn signal.
