Michael,
I used a M/C from a Datsun 710. It is the 3/4" version as opposed to the
11/16". I only opted for this perticular M/C because of the 3/4" size and
the fact that it looked brand new ($10 at Pick A Part). The car it came off
of was a booster type, so I had to adapt a rod. I wanted something
adjustable and found what fit the bill from an old Volvo 122. I had to grind
down the retaining washer by hand to make it fit. I have run Nissan brake
lines to the splitter under the generator and also to the connector under
the passenger floor for the rear brake. The confounding thing is that I can
not find adapter and my have to cut replace the fitting to american threads
and reflare.
I have heard that a certain Ford Ranger M/C fits well and adapts better.
Don't know any of the specifics though.
It is my opinion that the smaller M/C is better if you are not running the
booster to lessen pedal pressure (at the expense of longer travel). Others
may differ in that opinion.
 Tom
