The Tiger LAT-2 Engine Dress Up Kit, or LAT-8 valve covers (See
TigersUnited.com L.A.T and Dealer Options) was cast aluminum with top
fins that were ground off at the back edge near the firewall for
clearance. The raised letters were "TIGER" with "Powered by Ford" in
smaller letters below. As soon as Chrysler could get the stock down the
"Powered by Ford" was removed. All other emblems using the word "Ford"
were removed, for obvious reasons, except when part of the Ford castings.
Those valve covers you have could very well be factory original part
options - for the Shelby Cobra! Pretty sure they did NOT come with
ground fins, though. Same guy made both.
