Hi all,
I'm about to attach the hardtop again for the ( Southern Hemisphere ) winter,
and want to avoid the fine scratch marks left in the paint by the hard edges
of the hardtop gaskets as the hardtop moves around a little.
The hardtop was fully restored with new rubbers and has little use, but the
rubbers are probably now about 6 years old and fairly hard.
Iv'e read Stu Brennans article in Tigers United on this - is there any update
on the suitability of magnetic " refrigerator magnet " material to spread the
load marks, or any other ideas ?
Is there any way to soften the rubber a little ? Would rubber grease help ?
Thanks
