I have used Dot 5 silicon brake fluid in all of my cars and bikes since
1978. I have experienced no failures. The front brake on my 73 Norton is
still as sweet as the day installed in 78. Sunbeam brake/slave since 86 with
out problem. The US government uses it in most of their vehicles..no
deterioration, no changing or flushing. Regards, Gary
