Jim, Tom,
All of Tom's information for the 260 and 289 heads jibes with Mannel. Also,
according to Mannel, all 221 and early 260 heads had 1.59" intake and 1.39"
exhaust valves with 0.310" stem diameters. In 1964 valve sizes were
increased to 1.67" intake and 1.45" exhaust and with 0.340" stem diameters,
same as 289. This '64 260 head is the C4OE-A that Tom says was original on
his Tiger's 260 engine. BTW, in about Feb/Mar of '64 the standard 289 intake
valve was increased to 1.78" and the HiPo head to 1.78" around April of '64.
Mannel is beginning to appear to be a much more reliable source of
information than Monroe and others with regard to these kinds of historical
facts. Does anyone other than Doug have anything but the C4OE-A heads on
their original Tiger 260?
