I wanted to let you know that I DID NOT get this right. I found out
that the Tiger unit is the short piece. The Alpine unit is longer, I'm
not positive exactly how much longer but it is possible that the broken
unit I had that is only a little longer than the really short whole unit
I have was an Alpine unit. It is also other possible explanations, I
just don't know for sure. I think the thing that does matter is that
the Alpine hold down is longer, that is the important point. I know
that at least one person on the list mentioned this online but I could
not find the reference in my archived mail to give proper credit.

I hope not to cause another stir with this info but if someone's wife
gets to giggle about us guys still talking about how long our units are
supposed to be then well... I think that is a good thing.

Is the Tiger V8 a means to compensate for having a shorter unit?
