Why not ask Dan Walters. He has driven the
track and while he made it through turn #5,
he got kinked further on. RA is a great place to let the
beast growl.
Once was told that due to the 'superb' aerodynamics
of the body, 138 is about all it'll do. To go faster
you have to remove or cutdown the windshield
ala Tom Patton or streamline the body ala
Lemans Tiger. Replacing the scooped headlight
rings is also a must. The Lemans Tiger and Patton
have done this also. Years ago after being timed
at 135+ at the Ford proving grounds I asked what
it would take to do 150. The engineers said
without fixing the aerodynamics, it would take about
200 more hp and that was not possible with the
small block engine. Remember the Lemans
Tiger, fully race prepared, was timed at 157 at
the Lemans. Face it, the stock Tiger while looking
great has the aerodynamics of a brick.
