Once more, from the frozen Tundra of Alberta, Canada (How does 22 below
0 F. grab you?)

John Crawley has added another month (March) to his folksy and
interesting newsletter on activities due north.

It is located in Contributed Articles, and the hot link is "The latest release".

The articles listings are at:

Have a look at his Stanguellini project in the March Newsletter.

As a side note, my family came from Canada. They lived in Winnipeg, and
my great grandfather owned THE dairy. His daughter (my Grandmother, who
was a young girl at the time) saw a postcard with Oranges on it from
California, and she pressured the entire family to uproot and move - to
San Francisco! WHERE were the oranges? Well, she found out, and they
moved again, where Great Grandpa owned the dairy in El Monte, CA, east
of Los Angeles. He was quite old, when I was young, and the trip took
forever. The dairy had been closed for many years by then, but they had
orange and lemon trees. The City took the land by "eminent domain" for
"public use". Somehow it ended up being downtown El Monte!! Politicians!

My uncle would tell me about the Cheeze Bird in Winnipeg. It got that
name because it sat a fence, during the winter, and you could here it's
plaintive call - "Cheeze, its cold out here!" (9-)

Which is why the Canadians are so cheerful. They are a hardy breed, and
need to keep up their spirits.
