Anyone interested in finding out the true coolant temp while running should
look at the "Moon" catalog (remember Moon eyes). They have a direct
read/contact temp gauge that can be installed on the thermostat housing. They
have a housing but it is for those troublesome Chevy's. If used in
conjunction with a digital probe and compared to actual gauge readings and
the corresponding multimeter readings we might get a better picture in real
time readings. Just a thought......waiting for the critics to respond (That's
tongue in cheek, I think?)
