If this car has significant rust in the rockers, the x-frame, or both,
a rotisserie might not be a good idea (car could buckle). Doug Jennings has
a neat 'box frame' set up that you can see at his website

The advantage is in much less leverage on the longitudinal axis of the
car. You'd obviously need more room to roll it occasionally than with a
rotisserie. In addition, most rotisseries plug into the front frame rail
extensions that are so mangled on your car. Doug sent me some much more
detailed pictures a number of years ago and I don't think he'd miind my
