According to various informed sources who are more well read than I, a Ford
motor will perform better and have less wear over time if it is run between
190 and 210 degrees. If it ain't puk'in, it ain't over heating.

well when it reached 210 I put the garden hose on the rad fins on low just
letting the water trickle down the fins. the temp quickly dropped to 180 or
so. from this I gather my problem to be lack of air flow. I will let you
know soon.
