Don,
I am running Michelin X 185x70-13's on 4 1/2 rims. This is about the biggest
feasible, and even then requires some lower front fender wheel arch bending in,
to
avoid wheel scrub on sharp parking turns. 175x70 require no modifications, but
leave a fairly large wheel to wheel arch gap in front, and more revs/mile.
If you want more freedom, look into the Panasport 14 an 15 inch wheels.
