I had this problem even though I had installed a complete new exhaust system. I checked and rechecked for leaks. I found that the emission hose from the left rocker arm cover to the connection under the carb was not clamped tightly under the carb. It was hard to believe this could leak and cause a smell, but it did. I had it pushed on the nipple, but not clamped and that apparently was enough to cause a sickening smell. Mark L. |
