I didn't mean cutting vanes from the impeller. Trying to balance
the assembly would be a nightmare and problem lead to failure
of the pump. Ford makes a heady duty pump. People were
taking the impeller from the pump and using that.
Another thought, make sure you are using the proper 10v sending
unit. A 12v unit fits the F4B but can lead to wrong readings. I
wound up reinstalled the original sending unit using the rube
goldbarb system Rootes came up with. You know, the Tee
fitting for the ending unit and the ground wire that fits in the
hose.
