You are absolutely correct. It's the 'wrench' that figures out how to
actually do what the engineer wanted, even when certain details were
ovelooked, like the steering gear location interference.
No excuse, but my oversight was because I have been both. When I wasn't,
believe me the machinists and the mechanics both helped me see the light
when I showed them what I wanted done, and they showed me what actually
could be done. Changed the design before release. Everybody was happier.
