They only thread I remember being that way were the ones on
my knock-off wire wheels. This is because they are MUCH
larger, and centered on the wheel. The wheel turning, and
torque, can allow the weight of the big knock-off to exert a
"un-screwing" force on the center-lock wheel. That's why
they are "clearly" marked "OFFSIDE-UNDO" and have little
arrows.
Never heard of normal wheel lug nuts (or bolts) being made
this way. First time you got your tire changed, the air
impact wrench would fix that problem, anyway.
Are you sure about this? Not saying it isn't so, just not
necesssary, and never encountered.
