As I've been preparing to switch to some Aluminum wheels on my Tiger,
I've mentioned to a few people that I have to switch my right front
wheel lugs to normal thread, from the backwards thread that they are
now. A couple people knew what I was talking about, but the majority
reaction is "What? Mine were always regular thread."
I took a brief tour through Norman's book last night, and didn't find
any mention of reverse threads.
So what's the real deal here? Were they all reverse threaded on the
right front, and many have been switched over the years, as tire
stores broke something trying to get them off the normal way, or
owners switched to mags? Or did only some years, versions, or
whatever, have the reverse thread?
