Just noticed Jeff CC'd the list, so I am sending my reply to all.
Jeff asked:
One question, what will you do if the TAC inspector does not give you
a TAC sticker? Shouldn't you have had the Tiger inspected before
you
bought it? Just curious.

Jeff,
I did have some of the foremost representatives of the Tiger community
either look at the car, and/or tell me they have known that car and the
owner for many years. I have no doubt in my mind that the car is as
represented, a low mileage '65 with factory/dealer options as delivered
to Original Owner by Pasadena dealer. I just felt that this is a good
program for the car, and was willing to join STOA and by a part of the
community.
I would certainly agree that one should have an expert look over a
purchase, be it car, boat, home, stock, whatever. Even if it did have
stickers, I would want to know about condition and potential problems.
TAC are NOT the Authenticity Police most critics imply. They have even
told me they couldn't care less if it had a Chevy motor in it (or
presumably an Alpine). The ONLY requirement is that the chassis came off
the JAL line. I am not at all interested in selling my car, regardless
of price. I am just following the motto of the first sports car I ever
owned, my '52 MG-TD. No, not "Safety Fast", but "Maintaining the Breed".
Hope this satisfies your curiosity, which I am pleased to address.
Steve
