Jim,
A man with your wide mechanical skills, to put 20 lbs. in a 5 lb bag,
certainly ought to be able to properly hit his thumb. I'll wager that in
a weak moment you resorted to an American ball-peen universal destroyer,
rather than the proper English lead/copper faced knock on/off hammer
intended for this task. Next time do it properly. You hold the intended
target, and let Anita swing the sledge. I'll bet she gets the right
target.
