Steve,
I'm still using an old Accel dual-point distributor with GM type mechanical
points. I use one set of points for the MSD and the other set for the
tachometer (an eight grand, 8-cylinder Smiths tach from XKs Unlimited). I
had to add an inductor to the tach circuit to emulate a coil, but it works
well. I haven't tried real hard, but so far I haven't found suitable
electronic points for this Accel distributor. Maybe I'll chuck it one of
these days in favor of a newer unit, but for now it's working so well I
don't want to screw with it.
