If you're sure the brake discs (rotors) are ok, have another look at the
steering tracking and track rod ends.
If your car has wide tyres it is more likely to pick up camber and other
changes in the road surface which can be exagerated.
looking at the angles the steering track rods work through, it seems a
relatively small amount of wear could allow a fair bit of movement.
( I assume the steering rack is bolted down tight !)
It's worth another look.
