Hi: I am trying to find out what the Alpine numbers on the ID plate
mean for a friend of mine. Some on the numbers id's are the same as my
Tiger, but hear is the ID.
B9204462 LRX - What I think is that this is a Series 3 Alpine with a
1592 cc engine and that this series of B9200001-B92505863 was made from
Mar 63-Jan 64 for a total of 5,863 built.
Next - 39 (Color Carnival Red) SB (?)
On a seperate plate is SAL 027837 I think this is the body number, and
is SAL Salsberry Auto Ltd? Also does the SAL # match with the B9204462
number?
Finally, where is the engine number on the block?
