Robbins has been around since the 1950's or even the 1940's. They have always
built excellent quality tops in their plant in the greater LA area (have
forgotten the location) including those sold by MG Mitten years back. Over the
years I did a number of replacements from MG Mitten all of which were great
fits. That said I was at Robbin's factory about ten years ago and had similar
problems with both a top and tonnue (sp) cover. They built me three tops none
of which fitted and the tonnue (sp) which did not fit even after taking the
measurements from my car. I was in the factory with Doug and all their
patterns are on mylar and have been for many years so there is no sensible
reason that their excellent tops do not fit but they do not. My impression was
that they were geared to show cars which were also trailer queens.
